The Community Legal Centres NSW Board has oversight of the activities of Community Legal Centres NSW through its 3-year strategic plan and is ultimately responsible for all actions (or omissions) carried out in the name of CLCNSW, whether the actions are taken by CLCNSW state office staff, contractors, volunteers or Board members.
Community Legal Centres NSW has incorporated within the delegation system checks and balances, which ensure the organisation operates without exposure to unacceptable risks.
There are a maximum of nine positions on the Community Legal Centres NSW Board, the majority elected by members at an annual general meeting, with one position nominated by our Aboriginal Advisory Group. At least five board members must be from a community legal centre.
